Rates, Insurance & Terms
The prices are the final cost. This price does not include the insurance cost, which is optional. The maximum total in dollars that can be declared as the value of the items that are in each box/shipment that you send cannot exceed the total of $1000.00. Certain Restrictions May Apply. If the customer does not obtain/pay for additional insurance and a total loss occurs, USMEX Express and its general company will not be responsible for the value or cost to replace the items that are shipped. USMEX Express will pay a full $100 dollars if there is a total loss. |
Insurance 10% (Optional) -Mexico//Insurance 15% Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras Restrictions That May Apply. PROHIBITED ITEMS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING AND SHIPPING A PACKAGE
In accordance to the provisions of clause ten of the Service Contract, USMEX Express does not accept shipments that contain: -alcoholic beverages -Animal skins and leather. -Weapons of any kind. -Plants and animals (live or dead). -Liquids (perfumes if allowed -Solvents and corrosives. -Controlled and restricted circulation medications. -Pornographic material. -Glass, in any of its presentations. -Perishable and easily decomposed items. -Counterfeit merchandise -Laboratory samples (toxic, dangerous or special handling). -Jewelry, money and valuables. -Goods of foreign origin without import documents. -Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (chemical precursors and basic chemicals). -Explosives and compressed gases. -Flammable liquids or solids -Radioactive or magnetic objects. -Oxidizing materials. -Toxic items, irritating materials and infectious substances. In international shipments the following are also considered -Food -Vehicle Plates -Shipments with a value greater than $1,000 USA In general, all those items restricted by laws, authority provisions and/or the IATA (International Air Transport Association). INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARE AND SEND A PACKAGE
1). Prepare a route sheet online or on paper. For shipments to Guatemala, EL Salvador and Honduras, they must be boxes of specific measurements, preferably new. 6). Please do not tie boxes with rope or duct tape or paint tape. AGREEMENT ON CONDITIONS AND STIPULATIONS: By giving us your package for delivery, you are accepting all the conditions and stipulations indicated here RESPONSIBILITY FOR PACKAGING AND COMPLETING THE SHIPPING INVOICE, INVENTORY OR PACKAGING GUIDE: As a signatory of the Shipping Invoice, Inventory, you will always be primarily responsible for all delivery costs as well as any costs that we may incur either for returning your shipment to you or for storing your package pending delivery. LIMITATIONS ON OUR CIVIL LIABILITY AND OBLIGATIONS THAT WE DO NOT ASSUME: Our liability in connection with your shipment is limited to the lesser of your actual damages and up to the amount of $100.00 USD total loss. This DOES NOT INCLUDE the cost of shipping within US and Mexico. An Optional Additional Insurance of 10% can be purchased for Shipments to Mexico, Additional 15% insurance for shipments to Guatemala, Honduras and EL Salvador. Additional insurance 7% Shipping within USA; A maximum amount to declare of $1,000 with a 20% deductible. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE: -For acts or omissions on your part including but not limited to clumsy and insufficient packaging, securing, marking, or a situation where you give us an Insufficient or wrong address; or by acts or omissions of any other with an interest in the package -If you or the recipient violate any of the terms of our agreement -For loss or damage to shipments of prohibited items -For loss or damage to shipments of items of extraordinary value; including, but not limited to, shipments containing works of art, jewelry, furs, precious metals or negotiable documents; -For loss or damage to shipments containing glass -For loss, damage, or delay caused by events over which we cannot control; including, but not limited to causes of force majeure, risks, accidents or aerial eventualities, weather conditions, acts of public enemies, war, strikes, civil commotions, or acts of public authorities with real or apparent authority. -Address incorrectly provided -Bad packaging of your package and without the necessary protection -When the packages are directed to the agencies, they have 5 business days to be collected. If they do not arrive within that time, the package will be returned and there will be an additional cost for resending. EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY The parties agree that the service provider: Will not be responsible for loss, damage, misdelivery or non-delivery, or delayed delivery of SHIPMENT, caused by: -Unforeseen events or case of force majeure or other cause beyond control -By acts or provisions of any authority -Incorrect or incomplete information about the address of the Recipient -Electrical or magnetic damage, deletion or other damage to electronic images, photographs or recordings of any kind -The Consumer uses insufficient or inadequate packaging TO FORM A CLAIM: Any damage claim must be documented in writing within the first 24 hours after any total loss of your shipment or package. Proof of value must be provided for each item within 48 hours of the day such documentation was provided. Otherwise your claim will not be valid. We reserve the right to accept or reject proof of value documentation if we detect fraud. All insurance coverage applies only to total loss occurring inside and outside the US. The declared value does not constitute liability insurance for the charge. nor do we provide it. In any case; We are not responsible for any damage, whether direct, incidental, special, or consequential, that exceeds the declared value of a shipment. whether LingoDocs LLC (USMEX Express), our Independent Agencies/Distributors, our Parcel, Shipping, and Package Transportation providers to Mexico, their or our employees and their agents and representatives have had knowledge - or not - that such damage could occur, including but not limited to loss of income or profits. Also, mention that if there is an incident due to partial loss, it is important to send all the corresponding evidence. DELIVERY TO RESIDENTIAL LOCATIONS: Shipments sent to residential locations may be delivered without first obtaining the recipient's signature. RIGHT TO INSPECT: All packages and their contents may be inspected at any time and may be rejected. IMPORTANT: All packages will be put through an X-ray scanner to verify that the rules of not sending prohibited items are met. When something improper and illegal is detected, the package will be confiscated and there will be no refund for shipping costs or insurance payment.
